A ball of mass 150g is moving with a velocity of 15m/s is brought to rest by a player in 0.1sec.calculate the force

given:-

mass=150g-----kg=0.15kg

initial velocity(u)=15

final velocity(v) =0. [ as it comes to rest afterwards]

t=0.1

first calculate acceleration

a=v-u/t

a=0-15/0.1

a=-150m/sec2


force =mass×acceleration

force=0.15×-150

force=-22.5N

Given,
m = 0.15
a = \frac{v - u}{t} \\ here \\ v = 0 \\ u = 15 \: mps \\ t = 0.1s \\ a = \frac{150}{0.1} \\ a = \: 15mps^2
Force = 0.15 × 150
= 22.5 N
