A ball of mass 150gm starts moving at 20m/s and is hit by a force which acts for 0.1 second.The impulsive force is ?. Please give a detailed explanation with the formulas used

Mass m = 0.15kg

Change in velocity Δv = 20m/s

Time Δt = 0.1s

Δp = mΔv (change in momentum)

Δp = (0.15*20) kgm/s = 3kgm/s

F = Δp/Δt

F = 3/0.1 = 30N

Impulsive force F = 30N
