We have,

  • Mass of ball = 20 g = 0.02 kg
  • Intial velocity = 10 m/s
  • Time taken = 2 sec
  • Final velocity = 20 m/s

We know that,

  • Force = Mass × Accleration

We already have the mass but we need to find the accleration let us find it;

According to the 1st equation of motion,

  • v = u + at

= 20 = 10 + 2a

= 20 - 10 = 2a

= 10/2 = a

= 5 m/s-² = a

Now, put acceleration as 5,in the formula of force:

= F = ma

= F = 0.02 × 5

= F = 0.10

= F = 0.1 N

Therefore, the total force applied will be 0.1 N
