Mass of the ball =250kg

Velocity of the ball, u = 15ms-1

v = 0

t = 0.1 seconds

We know

v = u+ at

0 = 15 + a × 0.1

-15 = 0.1a

a = -1.5 ms-2

Force = mass× acceleration

Force = 250 × (-1.5)

Force = -375

Negative sign shows that force was applied in opposite direction to which the ball was travelling.

Therefire force applied = 375 N
