a ball of mass 4 kg strikes a rigid wall and rebounds elastically. its velocity is 2 m/s . the time in contact with wall is 0.050 s . calculate momentum.

Momentum = 4 * 2 = 8 kg/s
Momentum after collision = -4 kg/s
Net change in momentum = 8-(-8) = 16 kg/s
Force = change in momentum / time = 16 / 0.050 = 32N
