QUESTION:-

A ball of mass 50 g with a velocity of 25 m/s. Find the momentum at highest point.

EXPLANATION:-

Mass of ball(m)=50 g

Velocity of ball(v)=25 m/s

We know that,

P=mv

Where,

Where,

P=momentum

m=mass

v=velocity

So in this question,

The mass =50 g

And velocity =25 m/s

But here we have been asked velocity at highest position, and we know that the velocity at highest position is 0 because at the highest point the ball stops for some time.

So velocity=0 m/s

So ,

P=mv

P=50×0

P=0

So the momentum at highest point is o kg m/s
