as we know
The force with which the ball is attracted by the Earth is equal to the force with which the ball attracts Earth.

according to the newton's law of gravitation

So force = weight = m g
f=mg
m= 500g
m =0.5kg
we can take g=9.8
f= 0.5*9.8
f=4.90 N

Given, Mass = 0.5 kg , Acceleration = 9.8 m/s²

According to the Newton's second law of motion-

F = ma [F = force, m = mass, a =acceleration]

F = 0.5 × 9.8
F = 4.9 N

I hope this will help you.
