Given that,

Mass of the ball = m

Length of rod = l

In non uniform circular motion, the linear velocity, linear momentum and kinetic energy of particle will change.

We know that,

If the ovject makes a circle then the final velocity of the object at bottom is

v=\sqrt{5gl}

We need to calculate the minimum velocity

Using work energy theorem

W=K.E_{f}-K.E_{i}

mgl=\dfrac{1}{2}mv_{f}^2-\dfrac{1}{2}mv_{i}^2

Put the value into the formula

mgl=\dfrac{1}{2}m(\sqrt{5gl})^2-\dfrac{1}{2}mv_{i}^2

v_{i}^2=5gl-2gl

v_{i}=\sqrt{3gl}

Hence, The minimum velocity of the ball is \sqrt{3gl}
