Well , since the collision is elastic and we know that the kinetic energy before and after the collision remain conserved so it does not matter the balls collision occur at right angle or 90 degree and also the head on collision also does not matte , So there will be no loss of kinetic energy in both of the causes as the question already said the collision is perfectly elastic.
