Use equation of motion
v² - u² = 2aS
a = (v² - u²) / (2S)
= ((5.00 m/s)² - (0.00 m/s)²) / (2 × 19.6 m)
= 0.638 m/s²
∴ Acceleration of ball is 0.638 m/s²

NOTE: Acceleration is constant throughout the motion. So, Rate of acceleration will be zero. I hope the question is to find rate of velocity.
