a ball.starts from rest and accelerate at 0.500m/s^2 while moving down with an inclined plane 9.00 m long.when it reaches at the botom ball rolls up another plan,where after moiving 15.0 m it comes to rest.what is the speed of ball in 8.0m plane​

initial velocity of ball (u) = 0m/s

final velocity of ball (v) = ?

displacement (s) = 9m

time (t) = ?

acceleration of the ball (a) = 0.5 m/s²

To find the Final velocity :

v²- u² = 2as

v²- 0 = 2(0.5)(9)

v² = 9

v = √9

v = 3 m/s

Case (2):

From Case (1) we get final velocity which is now our initial velocity. Therefore :-

initial velocity of ball (u) = 3 m/s

final velocity of ball (v) = 0 m/s

displacement (s) = 8 m

time (t) = ?

acceleration of the ball (a) = ?

To find Speed Of the Ball :

Speed = Distance / Time

So, For Time we will use kinematic formula

a = v - u / t

t = v - u / a

v²- u² = 2as

0 - (3)² = 2×a×8

- 9 / 16 = a

t = 0 - 3 / - 9 / 16

t = 5.333.. second

So, Time of ball per meter is 1 second in plane.

Speed Of Ball = Distance / Time

Speed = 8/5.333...

= 1.50 m/s approx.

Hence, Speed Of Ball in 8.0m plane approximately be 8 m/s.
