a ball thrown upward and it goes to the height 100m and comes down .(a) what is the net displacement (b)what is the net distance

Displacement will be 0 because it came back to it's original position

and distance will be (100+100) = 200

Displacement is zero as the ball returned to its initial position and distance is 200m as :
When the ball was thrown upwards ie 100m which is given but the ball comes down as well again travelling that 100m distance therefore distance is 200m
