A ball thrown vertically upward returns to its starting point in 4 seconds. What was its initial speed? (g = 10)

Answer:

V=U+at

At highest point v is going to zero

And it will take half of total time to reach the highest point

So putting the value g is going to be minus 10as object is moving upward

0=U+(-10)×2

0=U-20

20=U

So intial velocity is 20m per second
