2as=v^2-u^2

2 X -10 X S = (10)^2-(0)^2

-20S=100-0

S=100/20

S=5M

ACCELERATION DUE TO GRAVITY IS TAKEN AS -10 BECAUSE ITS OPPOSITE TO THE FORCE OF DIRECTION....

WHEN BALL WAS THROWN IT WAS AT REST MEANS u = 0m/s AND V=10m/s

hope it helps
