According to the question,  Initial Velocity of ball = 19.6 m/secs                                          Final Velocity of ball  = 0 (  as ball stops upwards )                                                      Time taken by ball to reach the earth =  6 seconds                                                     Height of the tower ( Distance ) = ?                                                                               To find height, first find acceleration,  Acceleration = v - u / t     a = 0 - 19.6 / 6                  a = - 3.26         Then ,  2aS = V square - U square                                                          2 X - 3.26 X S = 0 square - 19.6 square           6.52 X S = 0 - 384.16                                S = - 384.16 /6.52           S = 58.92 metres
So, the height of the tower is 58.92 metres.
