A ball was thrown up from the ground level with a speed of a 19.6 m/s. What is the speed of the ball at its maximum height? What is the acceleration as its maximum height? How long does it take to reach its maximum height? How much time is the ball in the air after being launched until it comes back down to the ground?

{\tt{\red{\underline{\large{Given}}}}}

  • A ball was thrown upward
  • with velocity of 19.6 m/s

{\sf{\green{\underline{\large{To\:find}}}}}

  • What is the speed of the ball at its maximum height?
  • What is the acceleration as its maximum height?
  • How long does it take to reach its maximum height?
  • How much time is the ball in the air after being launched until it comes back down to the ground?

{\sf{\pink{\underline{\Large{Explanation}}}}}

  • u = 19.6 m/s

  • When ball thrown upward the velocity become decreasing by the time interval
  • Here the velocity decreases because of gravity acceleration of 9.8

u = 19.6 m/s

g = 9.8

v= 0

From equation of motion

V = u + gt

V = u -gt

=>0= 19.6 - 9.8 t

=>-19.6 = -9.8t

=>t = 2
