a ball was thrown vertically upwards from the ground .if we went up to the height of 50m and then came down to the ground.how long it was in the air​

You need to find the time of flight i. e. the time during which the ball is in air.

From 3rd equation of motion v^2 - u^2 = 2(-g)h

Final Velocity is zero

Initial velocity by which the ball is thrown is 31.62m/s

Now from 1st equation of motion v = u + (-g)t

Time is 3.162s
