m1 (Mass) = 1 kg

u1 (Initial velocity) = 2 m/s

v1 (final velocity) = 0

Ball 'Y'

m2 = 1 kg

u2 = 0

v2 = ?

Using conservation of momentum

m1u1 × m2u2 = m1v1 + m2v2

1 * 2 + 1 * 0 = 1 * 0 + 1 * v2

2 = v2

v2 = 2 m/s

Therefore,

Final velocity of ball 'Y' is 2 m/s
