Given :

A balloon contains 5.5 L of air at 303 K and 101.3 kpa.

To Find :

The final volume of the air in the balloon , when  balloon cools to 297 K .

Solution :

We know , by gas law :

PV = nRT

Therefore ,

\dfrac{V}{T}=\dfrac{nR}{P}=Constant  , because Pressure is constant here .

So ,

\dfrac{V_1}{T_1}=\dfrac{V_2}{T_2}

Putting all given values , we get :

\dfrac{101.3}{303}=\dfrac{V_2}{297}\\\\V_2=\dfrac{297\times 101.3}{303}\\\\V_2=99.29\ kpa
