4 Rs per 2 and rest at 8 Rs for 5 each. What is the profit and loss percentage?

Solution: The cost price of 1200 bananas at Rs.15 per dozen = (1200/12)*15 = Rs.1500.

He sells 800 bananas at Rs.4 for 2 and gets Rs.(800/2)*4 = Rs.1600.

He sells the remaining 400 bananas at Rs.8 for 5 and gets Rs.(400/5)*8 = Rs.640.

To gain is Rs.1600+640 = Rs.2240.

So gain percentage = (2240–1500)*100/1500 = 740*100/1500 = 49.33. Answ
