A bar magnet is brought near iron fillings .Where does the most of the iron fillings stick ?Why ?

When the bar magnet is brought near iron fillings, most of the iron fillings get attached near to the poles.
This is because, the magnetic field near the poles is the maximum as shown by magnetic lines of force as well , so we say that the pole strength is the main factor for the attraction of iron fillings on the magnet's poles
