  • When a magnet is placed near an iron bar then it magnetizes the ends of the iron bar oppositely.
  • As shown in the figure when the north pole of the magnet is placed near the iron bar, it makes the end of the iron bar of south polarity.
  • The magnetic field lines between the iron bar and the magnet in this arrangement will be directed from North pole to South pole.
