A bar of metal has a mass 200 g and a certain weight . Mass remain the same when weighed at equator but weight decreases . Why

Mass of the object is same everywhere but weight changes as it depends on acceleration due to gravity. As at equator value of acceleration due to gravity is different weight changes

Mass is a scaler quatity and it is never zero. Mass remain the same on earth and on Mars or any other planet. Weight is not same every where because of fluctuation of earth's gravity.Therefore, mass is always same in all places but weight is not same.
