let the height be x

then

base = 3x

area of parallelogram =base ×height

867=x×3x

867=3x^2

867÷3=x^2

289=x^2

√289=x

17=x=height

3x=3×17

51=base

The height of parallelogram is "17 m" and the base is "51 m".

Step-by-step explanation:

Let \ the \ height \ of \ parallelogram \ be \ "x" \\And,the \ base \ of \ parallelogram \ be \ "3x"\\The \ Area=867 \ m^2\\\\As \ we \ know,\\\\The \ Area \ of \ parallelogram,\\A=base\times height\\\\On \ putting \ the \ values\ in \ the \ above \ equation,we \ get\\\\867=3x\times x\\\\867=3x^2\\\\x^2=\frac{867}{3}\\ \\x^2=289\\\\x= \sqrt{289}\\ \\x=17\\\\Now,\\The \ height \ of \ parallelogram=17 \ m.\\The \ base \ of \ parallelogram=3\times 17=51 \ m.
