Total no. of eggs=40

No.of rotten eggs=8

probability of egg to be rotten

=8/40

1/5

now,the eggs are not rotten

no.of rotten eggs=0

probability of eggs to be rotten =0

Answer:

p(E) =  total no. of favourable outcomes \ total no. of outcomes

P(E) =  8\40

P(E) =  5

p(E) =  total no. of favourable outcomes \ total no. of outcomes

P(E) =  7\40       ( As one egg is removed before )

P(E) =  5.714285714285.....................................
