The given question is a basket contains 50 apples of which 12 are rotten.

if at random one apple is taken out of the basket.

we have to find  the probability of it being not rotten is .

The probability is a measure of the likelihood of an event to occur.

Most of the events cannot be predicted with the certainty .

There are various theorems that explains the probability ,they are Bayes theorem of probability.

There are 50 apples in total,which is a sample space.

n(s)=50.

out of 50, 12 apples are rotten

n(r)=12.

An apple is drawn at random .

we have to find the probability of apple drawn is not rotten .

No.of apples that are not rotten is n(n)=50-12=38.

Therefore,the probability of apple being not rotten is

no.of non rotten apples divided by the total number of apples.

\frac{No .of .non rotten apples}{Total number of apples}

\frac{38}{50}

Therefore,the probability of drawing an apple which is not rotten is 38/50
