Answer:  total flowers = 48

roses = 2x

marigolds = x

then,  2x + x = 48

3x = 48

x = 48/3

x = 16

therefore, there are 16 marigolds and 32 roses

Answer:

Given,

Total no of flowers=48

No of roses is twice the no of marigold

To find

No of roses and marigold

Solution

Let the no of marigold be x so , no of roses=2x,

Now, According to question

X+2x=48

3x=48

X=48/3

Therefore x=16

Thus, no of marigold=x=16

And no of roses=2x=2×16=32

Hope it helps you
