Basketball court area  = 28 * 15  =  420 m²

surrounded by a path of uniform width 2.5 m.

Basketball court size including path  

= 28 + 2.5 + 2.5   and 15 + 2.5 + 2.5

= 33 m  by  20 m

Area including path  = 33 * 20 = 660 m²

area of the path​ = 660  - 420

= 240 m²
