A basketball player who is going to dunk in a basket, jumps to 76 cm vertically. How much time does the player spend(a) in the top 15 cm of his jump and (b) in the bottom 15 cm? does this help explaining why such players seem to hanging in the air at the tops of their jumps?

1.5 s in both the cases hope it helps u

madhavi9262: can you explain the method , how to do it ? plzz
priyatoshsil21022004: speed = displace/time so time = d/v and d=15 for both cases and v = acceleration due to gravity so it is 10 for both cases so the ans is 1.5
priyatoshsil21022004: if the ans help u then mark me brain......... plz
