speed(V) = frequency×wavelength
350 = 30×wavelength
wavelength = 350÷30
wavelength = 11 .6 m
distance of bat from obstacles = 350×0.6= 210m

Answer:

The wavelength of the wave is 11.2 m;

The Distance between the obstacle and the bat is 210 m;

Explanation:

It is given that:

Frequency = 30 kHz;

Speed = 350m/sec;

Let us first calculate the wavelength of the wave.

So, we know the relation that Speed is the product between wavelength and frequency.

That means;

Speed= frequency × wavelength;

Substituting the values; we get;

⇒350 = 30 × wavelength;

wavelength = \frac{350}{30};

wavelength = 11.3 m;

Now, we know that bat hears its echo after 0.6 sec.

So, The Distance between the obstacle and the bat = 350 × 0.6 = 210 m;

Therefore,

The wavelength of the wave is 11.2 m;

The Distance between the obstacle and the bat is 210 m;
