A batsman hits two ball of different masses 0.5 kg and 1 kg out of the stadium, the velocity with these balls travel is the same. What would be the ratio of their kinetic energies ?

Let the velocity with which they travel be v m/s

So KE of (I) ball = 1/2×1/2×v^2

and KE of (II) ball= 1/2×1×v^2

So ratio=1/2:1=1:2

Hence, the ratio is 1:2
