A batsman score 120 runs which included 3 boundaries and 8 sixes
so, 120 runs contains 3(4) boundaries and 8(6) sixes and remaining are 1 , 2, 3 runs
so, total of boundaries and sixes = 3×4 + 8×6 = 12+48 = 60
percentage of his total score he make by running between the wickets i.e 1, 2, 3 runs = ((total score - total of boundaries and sixes)/total score)×100% = ((120-60)/120)×100% = (60/120)×100% = 100%/2 = 50%
so, 50% of the total score he make by running between the wickets
