Answer:

So a 60 % of total is scored by running

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Total Runs scored by batsman = 180

No of boundaries = 2

No of sixes = 8

To find:

Percent score made by running = ?

Solution:

AS one boundary have 4 runs in it and a six have six runs so

Runs scored by boundaries = 2 *4 = 8

Runs scored by sixes = 8 * 6 = 48

Total Runs scored by sixes and fours = 48 + 8

                                                               =56

Now

Runs scored by foot = Total - Runs scored by fours and sixes

                                 =140 - 56

                                  = 84 runs

Now to find percent runs scored on foot

So it could be found by

Percent runs scored by foot =\frac{Runs scored on foot}{total}*100%

Putting the values

Percent runs scored by foot =\frac{84}{140}*100%

Which is equal to

Percent runs scored by foot =\frac{84*100}{140}%

Solving it gives

Percent runs scored by foot = 0.6 * 100%

                                               = 60 %

So a 60 % of total is scored by running
