A batsman scored some singles, some 4's and some 6's in a cricket match. The number of singles made by a batsman is three times the number of 4's and number of 6's is one more than number of 4's made by the batsman. The batsman scored a total of 84 runs.

Step-by-step explanation:

let no. of 4s be x

then singles=3x

and 6s = x+1

runs due to 4s=4x

runs due to singles=3x

runs due to 6s=6(x+1)=6x+6

ATQ

4x+3x+6x+6=84

13x=78

x=78/13

x= 6

no. of 4s = 6

no. of singles = 18

no. of 6s= 7

Hope that helps.
