When a bulb is connected to a battery, then the chemical energy of the battery is transferred into electrical energy. When the bulb receives this electrical energy, then it converts it into light and heat energy.

Hey mate!

Hey mate!Here's your answer...

--------------------------------------------------------

A battery contains Chemicals and supply electric energy. So a battery converts chemical energy into electrical energy.

In an Electric bulb electrical energy is first converted into heat energy. This Heat energy causes the filament of bulb to become white hot and produce light energy.

So the energy changes involved when a battery lights up a bulb are:

Chemical energy------->electrical energy----->heat energy ----->light energy

--------------------------------------------------------
