Given

✭ Potential difference = 6V

✭ Three resistors of 1Ω,2Ω & 3Ω are connected in series

To Find

◈ Current through the 2Ω resistor?

Solution

Concept

So here we shall use the Ohm's law to find the current through the resistor. We are given that there are 3 resistors in the circuit get we are only asked about the 2Ω resistor so we can simply avoid the other two

━━━━━━━━━━━

Ohm's law is that,

V = IR

◕ V = Voltage

◕ I = Current

◕ R = Resistance

Substituting the given values,

➝ V = IR

➝ 6 = I × 2

➝ 6/2 = I

➝ I = 3 A

∴ Current through the 2Ω resistor is 3A
