0.5 A is the current flowing through the 7 Ω  resistor.

Explanation:

Given that,

V = 9

R_{1} = 2  Ω

R_{2} = 7  Ω

R_{3} = 4  Ω

R_{4} = 5  Ω

To find,

Current flowing through 7 ohms resistor = ?

So,

R_{eq} = R_{1}  + R_{2}  + R_{3} + R_{4}

= 2  Ω + 7  Ω + 4  Ω + 5  Ω

= 18 Ω

As per Ohm's law,

V = IR_{eq}

9 = I * 18 Ω

∵ I = 0.5 A

The same current flows similarly across all the transistors in a series. Thus, the current flowing through the 7 Ω  resistor = 0.5 A
