Explanation:

Equivalent resistance in series = 0.2 + 0.3 + 0.4 +0.5 + 12 =13.4 ohms.

By ohm's law:-

V=IR

I=V/R

Therefore, current = 9/13.4

Since current through each resistance is same in series combination, so, current in 12 ohm resistance in 9/13.4 amperes.

I = 9/13.4

I = 0.67(approx)

As the resistances are connected is series I passing through all the resistanes will be 0.67 A.

Answer:

0.67 A

Explanation:

Since all the given resistors are connected in series their equivalent resistance

Rs = 0.2 + 0.3 + 0.4 + 0.5 + 12 = 13.4 ohm.

The current through the circuit,

I = V/Rs = 9/13.4 = 0.67 A

In a series combination, the same current I flows through all the resistors, so the current flowing through 12 ohm resistor = 0.67 A.
