ANSWER :-

Given:-

  • V = 9 V

Calculation:-

R = 0.2  +  0.3  +  0.4  +  0.5  +  12

==> R = 13.4 ohm.

We know that,

  • I = V / R

Substituting the values,

I = 9 / 13.4

Therefore, I = 0.67 A

We know that,

In series, current is equally distributed in all the resistors.

Hence, 0.67 A current would flow through 12 ohm resistor.

Total resistance of resistors when connected in series is given by -

\small\tt\red{R=R1+R2+R3+R4+R5}

\small\tt\red{R=0.2+0.3+0.4+0.5+12}

\small\tt\red{13.4\mho}

\large\mathbb\purple{A/C,OHM'S\:LAW,}

\large\mathbb\purple{V=IR}

\large\tt\green{I=\frac{V}{R}=\frac{9}{13.4}=0.67A}

There is no current division occurring in a series circuit. So, the current through the 12 ohm resistor will be same as 0.67A
