A battery of emf 12 V and internal resistance 3Ω3Ω is connected to a resistor. If the current in the circuit is 0.5 A,
i. Calculate resistance of resistor.
ii. Calculate terminal voltage of the battery when the circuit is closed.

resistance total ,= 12/0.5 = 24 ohm

external resistance = 24-3= 21 ohm

terminal voltage= v= e-ir = 12-3x0.5 = 10.5 volt
