Given ,

  • Potential difference (v) = 2 v
  • Current (I) = 0.5 Amp
  • Time (t) = 1 min or 60 sec

As we know that ,

The product of potential difference and current is called electric power

The electric power denoted by " P "

P = VI -- (i)

and

The rate at which electric energy is consumed in a circuit is called electric power

P = Electric energy/t -- (ii)

From eq (i) and eq (ii) , we obtain

Electric energy = VIt

Substitute the known values in above formula , we get

 \sf  \Rightarrow Electric \:  energy = 2 × 0.5 × 60 \\  \\  \sf  \Rightarrow</p><p>Electric  \: energy =  \cancel{2} ×  \frac{5}{ \cancel{10}}   \times 60 \\  \\  \sf  \Rightarrow Electric \:  energy = \frac{\cancel5}{\cancel5}  \times 60 \\  \\ \sf  \Rightarrow Electric  \: energy = 60 \:  \: joule

 \therefore \bold{ \sf \underline{The \:  electric \:  energy \:  is \:  60 \:  joule }}
