a beaker of a liquid with a vapour pressure of 350 torr at 25 celsius (c) is set alongside a beaker of water (vapour pressure of 23.76 torr ) and both are allowed to evapourate. in which liquids does the temperature change at a faster rate ? why.

beaker of pressure 350 Torr will evaporate faster..

alpanaparmardu: why
RoyalRaman: because beaker of pressure 350 Torr is in room temperature and beaker of pressure 23.76 have a temperature -252.78 °c, hence beaker of pressure 350 Torr will evaporate faster

Hey dear,

● Answer -
Temperature will change at faster rate in water as compared to other liquid.

● Explanation -
- Rate of change of temperature is high in liquids with lower vapor pressure.
- As water has lower vapor pressure than supposed liquid, temperature will change at higher rate in water than given liquid.

Hope this helps you .
