A beam of light is passed through three containers containing three different mixtures. The beam of light rays is not visible in the first container, it is brightly visible in the second container and in the third container faint beam of light is visible. Identify the type of mixtures in the three containers. Justify your answer with reason(s).​

  • Hence the path is not visible.
  • Due to the large particle size light beams are scattered when they passed through suspensions.
  • Hence the path is visible.
  • Due to intermediate particle size light beams scatter as well as pass-through colloids.
