distance between first dark fringes on other side of the central bright fringe = width of Central bright fringe .

= 2 × lemda × D /d

= 2× 6 × 10 ^-7 × 2 / 1 × 10 ^-3 m

= 24 × 10 ^-4

= 2.4 × 10^-3m

= 2.4 mm
