  • Parallel rays on a concave mirror will converge at the focal point in front of mirror. Similarly, parallel rays bouncing off a convex mirror will diverge away from the focal point (behind lens). Only the ray hitting the mirror right at the principal axis and parallel to the axis will bounce back in the exact opposite direction.
