a beggar wrapped himself with a few layers of newspapers on a cold winter night . this helped him to keep himself warm becaue<br /><br />
1.friction between the layers of newspapers produces heat<br /><br />

The correct answer should be

2. air trapped between the layers of newspapers is a bad conductor of heat

because more air is trapped in the multiple layers than one layer and as air is an insulator or a bad conductor of heat it keeps him warm
