A berry bush located at the far edge of a forest went untouched by animals this summer. The berries eventually began to rot and fell to the area below the bush. Will the plant still reproduce? How will this affect the reproductive process of the berry bush?

Answer:

The plant will still reproduce, even though animals did not consume the berries, and they rotted in the area around the bush. The reproductive process will be affected because the plant will not be spread to another area. Instead, it will reproduce in the area around where it already exists.
