there are many valid reasons for that..
some of the reasons are

FIRST
# we the people of India have always been ready fascinated by the nature surrounding us..we hold your land totally precious and sacred.. maybe that's one of the reason of our association with the rich flora and fauna since ages

SECOND
# our Vedas.. shastras and piranhas have always treated various animals as sacred and as gods.. half gods and transport of gods
.hence we Indians respect them and don't let them extinct to s larger extent due to which they flourish...

THIRD
# India also favours large amount of thriving flora and fauna simply because of the ideal living conditions, habitat and natural resources and processes and above all.
.the climate of India too.
which inables flora and fauna to flourish and grow..

FOURTH
# apart from various Climatic and habitat conditions...India has almost all topographical features for sustainability of animals and plants..
it has mountains, plains , plateaus, deserts etc.. which are home to almost all types of animals and plants found in the world..
