Jalebis and Samosa
Jalebis and samosa were calling me out. I was tempted to hear their voice. My mouth began watering; however, I could not leave my studies to relish my tasty friends.
‘Abhijit, come fast or we shall be eaten by someone else!’, warned Jalebi and Samosa. I left my book and notebook on the table and ran to the sweet-shop in the neighbourhood. As soon as I reached the shop I was shocked to see that there was only one Jalebi and one Samosa left in the tray. I paid for them, got them packed and came to my house.
At home I unpacked both of them, put them in the plate and was about to eat Samosa first when it said: ‘Dear Abhijit, today you acted very slowly! Remember if you will act slowly, you will be left behind. Always react and act promptly and wisely. This is my advice. Now you can relish me!’
I thanked the Samosa and ate it up! It was very tasty. My tongue was on fire after eating the spicy Samosa. Now it was the turn of Jalebi! As I picked it up to put into my mouth, the Jalebi said: ‘Dear Abhijit, my advice to you is be sweet and crisp like me. Let your words and behavior be an example of sincere sweetness. Then people will admire you! now you can savour me!’
