Answer:

Initial velocity, u is given as 18 km/h, So we have to convert it into m/s, For that we have to multiply it with 5/18, So, 18 × 5/18 = 5 m/s.

Given That :

  • » A Bike accelerate uniformly from 18 km/h to 36 km/h.
  • » Time Taken = 5sec

Need To FinD :

  • » Acceleration of Bike ?

Formula UseD Here :

  • » a = ( v - u )/t

Where :

  • a = Acceleration
  • v = Final velocity
  • u = Initial velocity
  • t = Time taken

Conversion NeedeD km/h into m/s :

  • 18km/h into m/s
  • ➟ ( 18 × 5 )/18
  • 5m/s [ initial Velocity ]

  • ⌬ 36km/h into m/s
  • ➟ ( 36 × 5 )/18
  • ➟ 5 × 2
  • 10m/s [ Final Velocity ]

Putting Values in Formula :

  • acceleration = ( v - u ) / t
  • ➣ acceleration = ( 10 - 5 ) / 5 m/s²
  • ➣ acceleration = 5 / 5 m/s²
  • acceleration = 1m/s²

Therefore :

  • ➲ The Acceleration of bike is 1m/s²
